Igor received this award for a mono-performance of Anton Chekhov's short story "The Good German". He took third place among several thousands of actors from All Republics of Former Soviet Union. For all participants of this Festival Russian was their native language. Igor's native language is Slovenian; he studied Russian since 1989.
1st Slovenian Acting Seminar for Blind & Vision Impaired People - Award for Innovative Contribution to Slovenian Blind & Vision Impaired Community, 1993
In 1993 Korošec worked with blind and vision impaired people, gathering all necessary information, attracted some sponsors, and organized The First Slovenian Acting Seminar for Blind and Vision Impaired. He directed Tennessee Williams' Glass Menagerie. The seminar launched the acting career for many Slovenian vision impaired people.
The Actors Fund Awards - Encore Award, 2010
The Actors Fund recognized Igor Korošec for showing extraordinary dedication and commitment to the performing arts by supporting the individuals (i.e. actor David Steinberg mostly recognized as Megosh in "The Willow") who brought spectacular performances to United States stages and screens.
